In Third grade we learn so many amazing things! Subjects like writing, grammar, math, logic and even character building helps students' become well rounded individuals.
Two subjects we'd like to give a more in depth look at are History and Science. Parents can look forward to opportunities to help in the class with culminating activities that come at the end each of our units!
In Science we study:
Animal classification
Muscles and Bones
The Nervous System
Vision
Hearing
Astronomy
Force and Motion
In History we study:
Geography
Canada
Early Americans in two parts
Vikings
Explorers
13 Colonies
and Rome
The units that need the most help will be our Animal Classification Safari, Nervous System replica, Canada Day, Native American project and The Roman Feast. Be on the look out for emails and information on learning plans about these up coming events!
Study guides and printable flash cards for these units can be found on the right, under Study Guides. There are also fun links that will help fine tune certain skills. These are great for at home practice!
